Overview

The CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) and RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) are both awarded by the NBRC based on the same TMC Examination — but at different cut scores. The RRT requires passing an additional exam (CSE) and represents the highest level of respiratory therapy credentialing.
